Friday Fun Club

Fridays, 9:15-11:45

WHAT:  FRIDAY Fun Club

WHEN: All Fridays when school is in session, 9:15-11:45

AGE: Student must be 3 years old and potty trained

WHERE: Room 3

TEACHERS: Mrs. Betz and Mrs. Van Dyke

COST: $25/per Friday (You can pick 1, 2 or ALL!)

 

Did you know that people actually celebrate pickles? There's a day for that! Good and Plenty Candies? Yup! There's a day for that! Rhinos? You guessed it, they've got their own day too!

 

Join us in honoring some Silly National Days in our all new Fun Friday Club!

 

Mrs. Betz & Mrs. Van Dyke will launch some learning through play using stories and songs with props, movement, snack and crafty activities!

 

Sign up for 1 or all Fridays now!  Registration will be ongoing throughout the school year as long as pace is available.

MARCH

March 6: National Oreo Day/Read Across America Week

Books: Oreo Sweet Treats, Go Dog, Go!

Activities: Black and white cup stacking challenge, mini oreo cookie stacking challenge, cookie shape match, memory match game, which do you prefer taste test and chart, “We go together like Mickey and Minnie” Disney matching game, “Like Cookies and Milk”  matching game

Craft:  dog craft and coloring pages
 

March 13: National Napping Day

Books: The Napping House, Goodnight Moon

Activities:  story pieces matching game, simple picture strip house puzzles, Build A Story- stack character blocks to retell

Movement:  Sleeping Bunnies, What’s Behind the Pillow

Craft:  Sleeping Bear animation

March 20:  World Frog Day

Books: Jump Frog, Jump, There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Frog

Activities: story retell pieces, frog races, what’s your frog name, froggy would you rather, lily pad landing, frog sensory bin

Music & Movement: Five Speckled Frogs, We Can Jump, “I Have a Little Frog” song

Craft:  frog face bug grabber or froggy pop up card, frog friend do a dots

March 27: National Scribble Day

Books: Harold and the Purple Crayon, Perfect

Fingerplay:  Five Little Crayons

Activities:  art supply exploration, fine motor scribble tracing cards, scribble in the sky with color scarves and music, collaborative murals: 16 second scribble, symphony scribble

Craft: crayon scribble people
