WHAT: FRIDAY Fun Club
WHEN: All Fridays when school is in session, 9:15-11:45
WHO: Open to CHPC Preschool students and the public
AGE: Student must be 3 years old and potty trained
WHERE: Room 7
TEACHERS: Mrs. Thomson and Mrs. Betz
COST: $30/per Friday ($31 online)
Did you know there’s a national day for cheese doodles? candy corn? Even Mr. Potato Head? We’ll be celebrating some of these silly National Days this school year!
Mrs. Thomson and Mrs. Betz will guide learning through play with stories, songs, props, movement, snacks, and crafty activities.
Register for one Friday or the whole year! Payment is required at registration to secure your child’s spot. Cash or checks (made payable to CHPC Preschool) may be dropped off or mailed to the preschool.
SEPTEMBER
September 18
Theme: World Bamboo Day- Pandas
Books: Please, Mr. Panda, Little Panda: The World Welcomes Hua-Mei at the San Diego Zoo
Craft: Panda scene using paint sticks and construction paper
Play/Props: Counting bamboo stalks cards, feed the panda number activity, Little People zoo set, zoo animals sort by type/size, pompom color sort, zoo animal play dough mats
Snack: Panda cookies, “bamboo” pretzel sticks
September 25
Theme: National Open the Magic Day- Picture Books
Books: Pete the Cat and the Treasure Map, There Was an Old Pirate Who Swallowed a Map, The Princess and the Pea
Craft: Magic book wands
Play/Props: Gold coins number match, jewel number match, I-Spy Bottle, princess stamps, pirate and princess sticker scenes, wooden dress-up princesses, princess and pirate match games, pirate and princess coloring pages, pirate ship playsets, Little People princess castles
Music/Movement: “5 Little Pirates”
Snack: Pirate’s Booty
