Our first month of school begins! Here are our themes for September.

Sept 14, 15, 16, 17– Welcome to School
Books/Songs: A Color of His Own, Go Away Big Green Monster, A Visitor for Bear, My Teacher Sleeps in School, Here We Are Together (name song)
Crafts: picture frames, multicolored lizard, welcome placemats, preschool banks
Skills: name recognition, learning rules/routines, following directions

Sept 21, 22, 23, 24 – Friends (letter F)
Books: Franklin's New Friend, Those Pesky Rabbits, A Friend Like You, Will I Have A Friend? Five Little Freckled Frogs
Crafts: frogs on a log, frog maze, friends in pairs coloring
Skills: letter F sound, Pledge of Allegiance, name and letter recognition

Sept 28, 29, 30, Oct 1 – Apples (letter A)
Books: Up, Up, It Apple Picking Time, Johnny Appleseed, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, apple tree poem
Crafts/Skills: Apple match and paint, apple tree project
